John Rivera President: CBSPV/The Genesis Fund
With over three decades of experience in the financial sector, John Rivera has established himself as a leading expert in Financial services, and a trusted Advisor to emerging companies in multiple sectors. As a seasoned Bank Liaison and Senior Advisor, John has been instrumental in fostering growth opportunities for banks and emerging companies. His unique approach ensures that banks can lend with minimal risk while emerging enterprises secure the funding needed to accelerate their projects and business expansions.
John’s diverse clientele include prestigious names such Wells Fargo, Citibank/Citicorp, American Savings, Norwest Bank, Sonovas, Mabuhay Alliance, SPIPA, and Evolution Group, showcasing his broad impact across various industries. His leadership in vetting, validating, and managing complex financial solutions and project funding initiatives have been key to driving collaborative technology initiatives since 2012, and in 2019 for The Wild Burro project in Utah.
John’s deep expertise extends to board-level strategy as CFO for Wild Burro Processing, where he has helped in strategic business planning, development, and funding of cutting-edge extraction technology. He has been involved with companies at the forefront of medical advancements, having been immersed in the medical care of his sister Tina who passed away in 2009 after a protracted battle with lung cancer. His insight into mergers, acquisitions, and business integration, honed during his tenure as VP of Reengineering at Norwest/Wells Fargo from 1995 to 2003, has equipped him to lead major initiatives, including the BRA VO Initiative (Branch Reengineering Added Value Opportunities), which significantly impacted mortgage division sales and operations.
Earlier in his career, John’s success in leadership roles spanned from turning around underperforming branches at Sears Mortgage Corp. and Citibank to managing regional production for American Savings, which later became part of Bank of America through acquisitions. His reputation for operational excellence and top talent acquisition has made him a key figure in revitalizing sales and expanding mortgage operations across the western United States.
John’s distinguished career is marked by his ability to navigate complex financial landscapes, drive business growth, and lead transformative initiatives, making him a valuable asset in the world of banking and corporate finance.

Christopher A. “Kip” Byrne, Esq. Secretary
Christopher A. “Kip” Byrne, Esq. is a seasoned and tenacious advocate with over 30 years of experience as a litigator, transactional attorney, and business leader. His diverse legal background spans roles as a law clerk to the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, Assistant Director of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and counsel to high-stakes cases involving multi-billion-dollar transactions and landmark litigation.
Kip’s expertise in business, accounting law, and complex litigation is unparalleled. As a transactional attorney, he has been instrumental in negotiating deals up to $2 billion. As a plaintiff’s attorney, he has secured over $100 million in settlements from Big Five accounting firms, leveraging his deep understanding of financial systems and corporate accountability. His proficiency in arbitration and international arbitration is equally remarkable, with his largest recovery totaling $120 million against major defense contractors.
Notably, Kip has an acute awareness of economic and financial risks, exemplified by his early recognition of the 2007 financial crisis. In 2005, he initiated a $157 million lawsuit against a mortgage-backed security issuer, uncovering the very issues that would later trigger the recession. His litigation prowess extends to other high-profile cases, such as successfully redressing a $150 million fraud involving an international telecommunications enterprise.
Kip’s experience as a business owner further strengthens his legal insight. He co-founded a successful technical services firm, serving clients such as US NORTHCOM, US Army North, and the National Guard Bureau. His firm plays a critical role in homeland security and disaster management, including response to forest fires, chemical events, and radiological leaks.
In his work with the State of Rhode Island, Kip led the professional liability litigation efforts arising from the state’s $1.2 billion financial crisis, securing over $200 million in recoveries against formidable opposition. Prior to this, he served as Senior Counsel and later Assistant Director of the FDIC, where he developed the agency’s mortgage-backed securities program and led the prosecution of Charles Keating, often referred to as the “Bernie Madoff of the 1980s.” Kip also directed investigations that uncovered organized crime’s infiltration of over 110 financial institutions nationwide, a story documented by The American Banker and Stephen Pizzo's Inside Job.
He is a graduate of Georgetown University’s prestigious School of Foreign Service and earned his law degree from the Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C., while serving as a congressional staffer. John Kloos Director
John Kloos is a dedicated leader with a deep commitment to family, community, and service. As a loving father, husband, and grandfather, he finds joy in spending time with his family and contributing to the well-being of the communities he is a part of. Beyond his personal life, John serves as a pastor, offering guidance and support to individuals navigating trauma and life’s most challenging moments.
With a distinguished 40-year career in the OEM marketplace, John has honed his expertise in executive management and business strategy. Over the last 25 years, he has held senior leadership roles, overseeing multiple teams, managing P&L, and crafting foundational business plans that drive global growth. His most recent role as Executive Vice President at Stratasys Corporation saw him spearheading global sales and marketing efforts, working collaboratively across all departments to plan and execute strategic initiatives.
John’s career is defined by his contributions to the 3D printing industry, where, over the last 20 years, he played a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge materials, equipment, and applications for major OEM markets, including aerospace, transportation, medical, and consumer electronics. His extensive experience across manufacturing segments has given him a unique perspective on time-to-market challenges and the complexities of working with diverse teams, from executives to engineers and process designers.
Having grown three companies by multiples throughout his career, John’s expertise in setting vision, establishing standards, and crafting go-to-market strategies has been instrumental in their success. With a solid foundation in finance and accounting, John’s leadership continues to shape and inspire growth across industries.

Harrison Kordestani, Esq. Vice President & Treasurer
Harrison Kordestani brings over 30 years of executive experience across energy, technology, finance, media, and entertainment to his role at CBSPV, where he provides strategic leadership and oversight of the company’s day-to-day operations. A visionary entrepreneur with a passion for innovation, Harrison has built a reputation for driving growth in both established industries and start-up environments.
Harrison’s legal and strategic consulting practice serves a select clientele, focusing on finance, investments, and asset protection. As a core member of CBSPV's management team, he is committed to delivering more than just wealth-building solutions to clients. He strives to uphold CBSPV’s mission of equipping its trading professionals with cutting-edge tools and insights to outperform the markets. His meticulous attention to operations, systems, and processes allows CBSPV to scale efficiently while maintaining operational excellence.
Harrison is also a champion of new technologies, particularly in the energy sector. He was a founding member of the management team behind Sky Quarry Inc., an environmental remediation and recycling venture that developed an innovative oil-sands extraction facility in Utah. Sky Quarry recycles rooftop shingles, refining the oil into useful products at its Nevada facility, and is set to go public on NASDAQ in October 2024.
In addition to his extensive work in energy and technology, Harrison has deep roots in the entertainment and media sectors. He has produced, funded, and distributed dozens of feature films, securing multi-year, co-finance distribution agreements with major studios like Fox and Warner Brothers. His career in entertainment began in 1993, with a focus on business affairs and film finance.
Harrison is a member of the bars in California and Maryland. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California, his J.D. from California Western School of Law, and an LL.M. from Boston University School of Law. Most recently, he attended Oxford University’s Saïd Business School and Smith School for Enterprise and Environment’s Climate Emergency Leadership Program in 2022.

With nearly 40 years of entrepreneurial expertise across diverse industries including real estate, material science, green construction, renewable energy, investment banking, and marketing, Jeremy Davey brings unparalleled experience and a global network of wealth management and investment partners to CBSPV. His leadership has been instrumental in driving innovative solutions and sustainable growth across multiple sectors.
Since relocating from the UK to the U.S. in 1993, Jeremy has founded and led numerous companies, while consulting for hundreds more. His career achievements span a wide range of industries, including the founding of an award-winning digital ad agency, incubating multiple technology companies, and developing a CAD-based operating system for the commercial real estate industry. Jeremy has also managed a portfolio of 1,200 apartments and over one million square feet of commercial property in California, built more than 450 lofts in downtown Los Angeles, and restored St. Vibiana's Cathedral, one of Los Angeles' oldest landmarks.
His ventures in renewable energy and sustainable development include co-founding a renewable energy company focused on gasification, algae biodiesel, and oil-bearing crops, as well as launching "The Million Home Challenge," an initiative to build affordable housing in Africa. In addition, Jeremy’s creation of LIFT (Living Incubator for Technologies) showcases his commitment to sustainability, providing a platform for testing and developing large-scale technologies that address essential human needs—such as clean water, sustainable energy, and affordable housing—while minimizing environmental impact.
A recognized thought leader, Jeremy has spoken at prestigious institutions including Stanford University Graduate School of Business, the Southern California Institute of Architecture, and USC Marshall School of Business.
